In 2013 Chamber’s Loos launched the first of a new generation of toilet block. The brand new unit uses airplane toilets which have a minimal water use. In this way the toilets are flushed with clean water so there is no blue chemical involved. The toilet block has a big advantage if it is located within the marquee as there is no chemical smell. The unit has a modern look using tasteful images of film stars and the gents even have red urinals that light up!
December 15th 2012 saw the first use of our new structure “the tri cone” which links 3 9m marquees together. The cone is partly glazed which lets in large amounts of light into to the structure. It can be used for a variety of uses such as bar area or drinks reception. At this particular wedding, being near Christmas, it housed an extremely large Christmas tree.
York Minster hosted the Maunday Service attended by HRH The Queen at Easter.
As part of the security arrangements Classic Marquees were asked to provide the Police with a 2 x 6m Chinese hat marquees. The marquees were erected at the West end of the Minster and housed the airport type detector arches that all guests at the service has to pass through.
After the guests were seated in the Minster the Classic Marquees team had to remove the marquees as fast as possible and leave the site before the arrival of the Queen. They did this in under 20 minutes and received a round of applause from the waiting crowd !
